Every day we wake to a world that is undergoing more dramatic change than most of us have ever seen, due to the effects of the coronavirus. Yes, this is a particularly harrowing time. Folks left and right are dealing with high-stress situations on a daily basis.
When considering all these different stressors, one can find themselves suddenly out of breath. It’s a whole lot! Now more than ever, we can all benefit from the tips on what to do when feeling overwhelmed.
1.) Stop and “smell” the CBD flowers
CBD quickly rose to well-deserved fame, as a result of its reputation for being a wonderful, profound, nearly THC-free way to connect with one’s inner peace. And before that mind starts racing, don’t fret about the legality of CBD flowers. If you’re someone who is worried about being able to prove that those CBD flowers are not “weed”, we recommend keeping the CBD flowers at home, just because the only way to prove they’re not “weed” is with laboratory testing.
Nobody wants to go through all that hassle. We’re not even talking about a substance here that has any kind of psychoactive component! If you’re looking for a promising lead on superior CBD/hemp products we’d definitely point to Try Plain Jane. They offer a wide variety of hemp and CBD prerolls, CBD oils, joints, vapes, and awesome accessories like grinders, stash bags, and exclusive tees.
2.) Get a plant
Plants have this strange ability to make us all feel bubbly inside. Taking care of one, however, can be difficult. Too much light is bad. Too much water is bad. Not enough moisture is bad. We’d definitely recommend looking into the ZZ plant. Legend has it that the ZZ plant is the perfect plant for any beginners and that it’s literally hard to kill. It enjoys indirect light and is the ideal houseplant.
3.) Meditate
If you have a hard time relaxing, it could be an indicator that you should try meditation. We have countless remarkable meditation apps available at our fingertips. While meditation might sound like a daunting, boring kind of task at first, it can work wonders for slowing your mind down. It’s a great option for everyone.
4.) Take a walk
As long as you’re comfortable with taking some time outside of the apartment, and your mask is ready for the adventure, a walk can work wonders for easing your stress. Often, it’s the easiest way to do just that. Getting some direct sun and enjoying the aroma of flowers is always a winner.
Yes, a walk around the neighborhood, maybe with a favorite playlist or that new podcast episode you’ve been meaning to listen to, can do a whole lot for a worried mind. If you really want to get wild with it, leaving the phone at home can be an even more powerful way to relax.
5.) Reach out to a friend
There is absolutely nothing wrong with leaning on the ones we love when the weight of the world is just digging into our shoulders, and we need the extra morale boost. Sometimes, the mere sound of a familiar voice is enough to interrupt our stressful train of unwanted thoughts.
6.) Find a book, and give it a read
We’re so deeply immersed in this technologically-infused society that we can all easily forget about the fact that we’re spending way too much time on our screens. Our eyes are probably tired of it, and our minds can certainly use a break from the overwhelming rush of media that we’re otherwise numbed to. Taking a screen break, and diving into a book that you’re genuinely excited to read is a wonderful way to slow everything down.
